Second Hand Rose Boutique Consignment Guidelines

 

Consignments are accepted by appointment only Tuesday – Friday.  Clothing must be in current style (items that have been in your closet for more than 2 years cannot be accepted), in season (see guidelines below), freshly laundered, wrinkle & stain free.  Clothing made from polyester, silk or rayon should arrive on hangers.  We will provide you with hangers upon request.  All other types of clothing must be neatly folded and placed in a box or bag with your name on it.  First time consignors are limited to 20 items. 

 

All consignments are placed on the sales floor for a period of 60 days.  Items sold within the 60 day period are split 60/40 (40% to the consigner).  Second Hand Rose sets the selling price and will be marked down 20% after 30-45 days.  There will be times during special sales that additional mark downs will be taken.

 

Commissions less than $10 will be issued as a store credit.  Checks not cashed or consignments not collected within 4 months will be forfeited.  Items submitted for consignment are left at your own risk.  We are not responsible for loss or damage due to fire, theft or any other unforeseen events.

 

Consignors that wish to pick up their unsold items, MUST CALL to make an appointment to pick their check and unsold items.  If you do not call to retrieve unsold items within 3 weeks of your consignment end date, your clothing will be liquidated and or donated at the discretion of Second Hand Rose.

 - Children’s Toys (limit to 2 per consignment, if battery operated it must have a working battery)

 - Hardcover Children’s Books (limit of 2 per consignment)

 - Handbags & Wallets (gently used, free of pen marks)

 - Jewelry (watches will be accepted only with a working battery)

SPRING  - February 15th – April 15th

-          Light weight slacks, long sleeve tops, skirts, jackets and dresses

-          Capri’s

-          Prom Dresses (must be cleaned) we will accept these through the 2nd week in May

-          Short sleeve tops

 

SUMMER  April 15th – June 15th

-          Shorts

-          Tank Tops & Short Sleeve tops

-          Bathing Suits

-          Summer Dresses & Skirts

-          Sandals

 

FALL  July 15th – September 15th

-          Fall jackets

-          Halloween Costumes (adult & childrens)                                      

-          Wool & Corduroy slacks

-          Sweaters

-          Boots

 

WINTER  October 15th – December 15th

-          Winter Coats & Jackets

-          Hats & Mittens

-          Wool & corduroy slacks

-          Sweaters

-          Boots

-          Holiday Dresses

 

** We do not accept the following: Brands from Walmart or Kmart, Women’s Undergarments, Furniture, Men’s Clothing, Household Items
